About

I am Claudia Mainard and I am a teacher and a writer with a passion for research and literature, living in sunny Sydney  Australia.

In this blog I hope to examine issues in world affairs, science and technology that may otherwise go unnoticed or not covered by the mainstream media. I hope to gather and present additional information from the originating sources so that issues can be explored further by the reader.

The name Green icebergs is a metaphor for that which has lain beneath the surface but that has been turned over to be seen.

As this year, 2008-2009 is the International Polar Year, my resource page on icebergs will also have links with information about our polar regions.

Any issue is open to scrutiny, and all comments to posts are welcome. I do moderate posts to prevent spam appearing.

It is not possible to publish posts pertaining to charities, self promotion, or those containing language which would be found offensive. This also includes posts which link to sites having the above.
